About the Game

Mytheon is an action RPG combining MMO, adventure, strategy, and collectible-card elements. Developed by Petroglyph, it was first released on Windows on July 13, 2010. The game is set in a world inspired by ancient Greek mythology, where humanity exists under the power and threat of the gods of Olympus.
The original version of Mytheon was designed as a free-to-play online game. Players take the role of a Stonecaster, a hero who uses magical stones to gain powers and fight gods and mythical creatures. The central gameplay concept revolves around collecting and using Power Stones, which serve as the main tools for combat and character progression.

The game world is divided into different areas inspired by Greek mythology. Players can explore Greek ruins, swamps, and the Underworld, while fighting enemies drawn from the game's mythological universe. The gods of Olympus are central figures in the world and its conflicts, with players facing increasingly powerful mythological forces.

Gameplay combines elements of an action RPG and collectible card game. Rather than relying solely on traditional weapons and abilities, Mytheon uses Power Stones as a central collectible system. These stones can be used to activate spells, strengthen the character, and summon mythical creatures to assist in combat.

The selection and management of Power Stones are important strategic elements. Different stones provide different abilities, allowing players to customize their character and approach to combat. Some stones provide offensive powers, others offer support abilities, while others allow players to summon allies onto the battlefield.
