About the Game
Story & Premise
Based on Greek mythology, the player takes control of Heracles (Hercules), who is tasked by Zeus with preventing the resurrection of Cronus (Kronos).
Paradise on earth. The world has been enveloped for hundreds of years in the calm sunshine... for once upon this earth, when it was almost invaded by the dreaded demons, a man in a hurry, his activities, which are still handed down as legends, kept the whole world at peace.
The man's name was Heracles. He was recognized by the great god Zeus and other gods for his achievements in defeating the demon Hades, rescuing the goddess Venus, and protecting the whole world from the hands of the demons, and he now lives a restless life as a inhabitant of heaven.
But the calm and peaceful days were coming to an end!? The Great God Zeus, who had always watched the lives of the people on earth from heaven, had noticed that a black shadow had begun to hang at the feet of those who lived peaceful lives. And the black shadow, though little by little, grew larger and darker... and Zeus, determined, called Heracles one day, and told him:
"Are the Titans and their demon Chronos about to come back to life?! Brave Heracles! Go to the earth again, and put an end to the dark ambitions of the demons!"
Gameplay
The game features traditional turn-based combat, where players can attack, defend, use items, and utilize the power of various deities.
Ugokidashita Kamigami plays much like previous entries in the series. The player mainly controls Heracles much like in the first game, though this time the player can recruit other gods to fill the second slot in the party, each of them having their own strengths and weaknesses. The player can freely swap the god accompanying Heracles with any other which is currently available.
System
Throughout the adventure, only one deity can accompany Heracles at a time. Release & Localization: It was released exclusively in Japan for the Game Boy.
